In response to a freedom of information request for the authority response to the consultation on EHE guidelines to local authorities we have received the following response:
Thank you for your enquiry to the FOI Office regarding Elective Home Education. I have corresponded with the Education department who have sent this reply:
We did not reply to the government consultation. There was no obligation to do so.
We had earlier in the year agreed a PCC policy (see Executive member reports) and found it to be consistent with the proposed new guidance. However, there are no reports regularly written other than to home educators and those are specific to the child/parent.

As the Information you requested is available in the Public Domain and our education department did not reply to the government consultation, I have not logged your request under FOI.
