In response to a request for information about their response to this consultation, Swindon LA responded:
* Having considered the document, we made no formal response to the consultation.
* We did not consult with any local home educators regarding the consultation as we were aware that DCSF were consulting with home educator support and advisory groups themselves.
Local home educators are continuing in discussion with the LA to improve their documentation.

News:
Tech HEds team going to Japan!
On 2 February, the Tech HEds team was one of 24 teams participated in the UK final of the FIRST LEGO League.
They won the Technical Design Award, took fifth place in the Research Project and took sixth place in the robot game. This was good enough for the team to have been in second place overall. They have now been invited to participate in the Open Asia Championship in Tokyo from April 25-30.
The team has to raise the money for this and it will cost up to £12,000:
